When trying lynx as a user it's looking for a web address. Security is not the issue until I decide to get serious. While I can do what I want from the console, it's inconvenient to get physical access to my console/keyboard so I'd prefer to explore via telnet or rlogin from another machine on the local net. (My desk isn't big enough to hold a 4th monitor) I'm exploring feasability to move from SCO to either Linux or freeBSD as an Internet gateway but find that exploration is necessary as there are many apparent differences between the different 'nixes. I had no real trouble installing 2.1 and have it running on my local network. As we're not on the internet yet convenience takes priority over security. I'll keep on digging, but I'd sure appreciate a shortcut so that I can spend time evaluation 2.1, rather than dig for what will be a temporary configuration during evaluation. Thanks in advance Heinz heinz@byted.com
