Don't think so. It works perfectly with OS/2 and Linux, even in X. Since both 
Linux and FreeBSD use the same X-Free there must be some other problems.
Furthermore, text-mode operation shouldn't be a problem in any case. I
think there might be some auto-probes for other equipment on a port
address that the Mach card uses, that cause the card to misbehave. Or there
might a PCI configuration problem, although I checked and double-checked my BIOS
settings.
