No problems.  The only difference between the 589C and the 589B is a connector
change.

I'll assume you mean zp0 here, which you use below.

Are you using the BNC or the RJ45 connector on the card?  If you are
attempting to use the BNC portion, add '-link0' to the extra flags
section to have it select the BNC connector.

If the machine isn't able to talk on the ethernet, it certainly can't
resolve anything. :(
