I doubt you will see weither on VL systems, because (a) there are very few
VL systems, and (b) VL slots were designed so nobody had to put things
on the motherboard for high throughput...

If you find out, let me know.

Genoa, I don't know the model numbers. If you see a "Data Royl", or "Royl
Data" (er sorry about the spelling error, my dislexia is kicking in and
I just can't seem to spell that word...) board it prob isn't worth it, the
VL speed is great, but the local memmory speed sucks *big* rocks.

I used a AHA-1420 VL SCSI controler, the ISA AHA-1442 (or 1440?) is quite
a bit faster. Make sure your VL cards really are faster then the ISA cards!
I expect lots of VL cards will just be ISA cards w/ a new bus interface, but
not re-designed to be faster (and the ISA cards were forced by the market
not to be any faster then the ISA bus, unless it did that for free...).

If you try this, you prob want a no-graphics mono card and $30 mono
monitor to use while booting (JAMACO sells a mono-only no graphics card
for about $14), and while attempting to get this working :-)
