Dunno.  Most people seem to use NCR (52c810) or Adaptec (AHA[23]940)
controllers when it comes to PCI.

Diamond has a habit of revamping their devices to an entire different
technology, without changing the name notably.  So you have to be
careful, and you should verify the XFree86 READMEs (or by Accelerated
X by Xinside) in order to be sure.

I'm using a #9 card that is S3 Trio64 (aka. 86c764?) based.  It works
well, including in 16-bit mode.
