I've recompiled the kernel to include support for tun0, and have my chat script working and everything. When I start up ppp and dial it connects, log's in, and then switches to packet mode. However, when I switch to another window to try and telnet out nothing happens. My modem lights don't so much as blink which tells me that it's not even connecting to my DNS. When I try and telnet to an IP address it just sits there and the modem lights don't do a thing either. The routing tables when I type "show route" in ppp look fine also. I noticed in the PPP man page, it says when it starts talking PPP, that the prompt ppp on hostname switches to capital letters which it does not to on my machine. If it's switching to packet mode though isn't the ppp connection pretty much established? Thanks for any help or suggestions. -Todd -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ thuss@moose.uvm.edu huss@emba.uvm.edu Todd C.
