Hi,
recently I helped a friend to install the FreeBSD but we ran
into a problem when trying to use the modem. The modem is a Boca 14.4
on com2 (/dev/cuaa1). I tweaked a the init-string of the sportster setting
in /etc/modems and when I tried to dial using tip, I got an error saying
"tip can't synchronize with modem". I am stucked cause I couldn't find
any documentation of troubleshooting the tip error message.

  You reply is greatly appreciated.
