Since some weeks I'm running FreeBSD-current. I'm very satisfied and it's stable for me. (Asus P55 PCI board, WD8013, 2940, ...). I'm running a NNTP, WWW, proxy server and do a lot of things using dialup PPP. If you can't wait for 2.2, then you should sup -current and build a new OS in single user mode by saying 'make world'. Don't forget do ftp the fixit floppy and to make backup's first. Befor actually doing the make world you need the two simple commands: # mount -at ufs # swapon -a Otherwise it's difficult to find the source tree, and virtual memory would be low ;-) -- andreas@knobel.gun.de /\/\___ Wiechers & Partner Datentechnik GmbH Andreas Klemm ___/\/\/ - Support Unix - aklemm@wup.de - \/ ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/system/Printing/aps-491.tgz apsfilter - magic print filter 4lpd >>> knobel is powered by FreeBSD <<<
