Thanks to everyone who responded to me via mail. I am still unable
to use the 386BSD machine as an NFS client, but I have ascertained
a possible clue to the problem. When I run nfsstat, it returns:

386bsd: no namelist

I had not seen this message since before I installed the alpha3 kernel,
prior to doing that I got the "no namelist" problem when running
netstat. Any ideas? Email is fine.
