anybody have time to give me a hand with kernek ppp.conf? usually I
used tom FTP install freebsd, and dialout ppp always worked..... but I
never wrote down the ppp.conf ans ppp.linkup files....
now I have installed it from the cd-rom and it doesn't work!.
it used to say when i did an show ipcp:

 his side: 204.170.30.2/0
my side : 204.170.30.30/whaever

my address 192.168.0.1
his address 204.170.30.2/30 (or whatever address I really got)

now it says the sam at the top,
but the botton says:
my address 192.168.0.1/0
his address 0.0.0.0/0

this won't work to go to an address by name, even with named running
and my normal hosts file for my own network,

could anyone send me a working ppp.conf and ppp.linkup file that I
could go by to figure this out?

the machine is a 486/66 8 megs ram, the modem is on cuaa1 and is a
14.4k USR
