Frisch. Maybe somebody knows a better book? Besides, the current FreeBSD
release is based on 4.4 BSD Lite and I hear things have changed since
BSD 4.3.

you're in now). A lot of ppl think having "." in your path is a bad idea
because you might accidentaly execute something you shouldn't. Sort of a
safeguard. On the command line, use ./myprogram instead. myprogram *is*
executable, right?
