This is not a system password file, but one built using crypt in PERL for WWW use. I have the DES version of crypt on FreeBSD and I'm generating 13 character passwords, but they still don't seem to match up. I tried using PERL to find out what going on and made sure that the salt is the same, the generated passwords are different from the old ones. Is there anything I can do to make this work, or am I hosed? -- __________________________________________________________________________ Phillip J. Windley, Asst.
