As im getting more of my system running, Im having problems adding users.

I can't seem to make an account that will allow me to su to root.I login
as the new user, type su and get a message that Im not in the right group
to su to root. the "id" program reports that the user is in group "wheel"
which is what I think is right.

I use vipw to add a line, carefully copying the format from an earlier
line. I increment the UID field, making sure it doesn't conflict, select
group 0 ( wheel ) and exit, the databases are rebuilt just right and so on
- Any ideas ?

Thanks Dave.
