How many different distributions of Linux are there? Last time I checked, there were N. Most were different in some way. You have to track way too many external packages just to have a complete system (i.e. C library, etc.) "Not for me, thanks." >Luckily Caldera choose Linux as most people are, and more importantly >Linux trys to be POSIX compliant meaning their is no BSD or SYSV bias! There is a big effort on the part of the various BSD camps to conform to standards. Certainly, most of us believe that BSD is the true nature of The Force, but we think standards are a good thing, too. -- Jason R.
