Hi guys,

We have a unix box running bsdi1.1 which is a name server, mail server
and tacacs server.

About once a week the system comes to a complete halt with no error
messages appearing.

The console looks normal and you can press the enter key but when you
type a command nothing happens.

A reboot (cntrl-alt-del and then hardware reboot after it
complains that it cannot read the drive) returns the system
to normal.

The /tmp partion is a symbolic link to /usr/tmp which has heaps more than]
8 meg free so this doesnt seem to be the problem.

There is plenty of memory and swap space. The processor is
a pentium 120.

Anyone have ideas what the problem may be?

Thanks,
Phil.
