Then I think you need to get out more. Everyone I know feels SunOS 5.x is far superior to SunOS 4.x. After working with 5.x for over a year, I hate having to go back to 4.x, and I would never take a job at a company that wasn't moving towards 5.x. Regardless of whether or not you like Solaris, the fact is that Sun is pushing it very very hard, and if you don't learn it, you'll be sitting in the unemployment line with your 4.x skills, right behind those VMS people who refused to learn Unix.
