Somewhere near the top, you must do

	undefine(`include')

or all neat paths to the pixmaps in ../X11/include/... will get
mangled.  This is in the port patches.

I also had a problem with the pre-packaged fvwm appearing to be
seriously crippled and eating loads of cpu.  This was due to
it assuming that getdtablesize() would return a value that would
fit into an fd_set. It didn't.
