Everything works with the exception of the a ping from the local machine to the aliased IP address (a ping to the non-aliased IP on the same machine still works as expected). I can successfully ping to the aliased addressed IP from other machines. I know this is related to loopback, etc., but I am not sure what commands I need to run to get the local ping to work (route?). Any help would be appreciated. -- ------ Scott Taggart email :taggart@cdepot.net Home Page :http://www2.cdepot.net:/~taggart/ Watson :(209) 296-5288 8-5 Pacific Time
