I've got a machine that answers to two IP addresses (one using the
ifconfig alias option). Everything works with the exception of the
a ping from the local machine to the aliased IP address (a ping to
the non-aliased IP on the same machine still works as expected). I
can successfully ping to the aliased addressed IP from other
machines. I know this is related to loopback, etc., but I am not
sure what commands I need to run to get the local ping to work
(route?).

Any help would be appreciated.
