I have been playing around with Xconfig for the whole night. All I got is 2 lines of message at the bottom of the screen and the blank screen. It seems to be that 386bsd still works except that I couldn't see anything. (I typed in some command and the hd light blinked.) So, I think it's Xconfig problem. But how to solve this? FYI, I'm running Xfree86 on . 386bsd 0.1 . 386bsd kernel (ftped from agate's pub/incoming/X386) . Xfree86 dist. from agate's pub/incoming/X386. Hardware config: . 386 25Mhz AT. . 8M RAM, Conner's 200M IDE. . Mouse System' mouse at com1. . Modem at com2 . I/O card with the 2nd serial port disable. . NEC 2A monitor. . Mentor's SVGA 1M (based on Tseng's ET4000 Turbo MegaVGA Chip and BIOS) BTW, I have tried the followings, but in vain. . NEC MultiSync II in /usr/X386/lib/X11/etc/modeDB.txt. . the standard settings which recommended in modeDB.txt. Any help is appreciated. You can either post or email.
