So, writing an emulator from scatch : if (far) outside my scope. There is a program called stonx - ST on X, which allow emulation of Atari TOS at a Unix machine running X. This program also emulates a 68000 processor, but one needs a TOS image. Since it emulates the processor it is very slow. Unfortunately I don't know where stonx could be found. Another project I heard about is that the people who porting linux to the 68k family are working on a ST TOS emulator. But I don't know the state of this project. Thomas
