Message-ID: <1996Jan12.165405.71165@cc.usu.edu> Date: 12 Jan 96 16:54:05 MDT Organization: Utah State University Lines: 20 I am having trouble making tape backups on my bsdi box. I know all about dump, tar, etc, but there doesn't seem to be any easy way of identifying which device driver to use from /dev. If it helps, I'm trying to bring up an exabyte fs1g, and the closest driver found so far was /dev/nrst0. I say it is the closest because when I do a mt -f /dev/nrst0 rewind, at least the SEL light comes on. =] If you have ANY information on any of this that would be helpful, please let me know. rOn barry -- DISCLAIMER - These opoi^H^H "dang", ^H, [esc :q :qq !q "NYRGH!" :Q!
