I received a similar error installing 2.1.0 from a dos partition that was >528
Megs.  I am not totally sure that was the problem, but maybe it was.  I made a
new dos partition on a different drive making sure it was in the 1st 528  Megs
and copied the distfiles there and then had a successful install.

So possiably that is your problem.  I read somewhere that Enhanced IDE is not
supported as of yet.
