I just put a new gig drive into this system, it was after the time I installed it, and am wanting to fdisk/format it... I think I have been able to write the fdisk info via sysinstall. But I need to format it, and have not got the hang of newfs... I have looked through the faq and handbook, and that part of the handbook is blank (usefull :) So could someone tell me what commands I need to run to get this going ? (The mounting and fstab I know, just fdisking and newfs) The following is what is found on bootup.. Jan 19 03:29:43 info /kernel: (ncr0:1:0): 200ns (5 Mb/sec) offset 8. Jan 19 03:29:43 info /kernel: (ncr0:1:0): "HP C2247M1 0B04" type 0 fixed SCSI 2 Jan 19 03:29:43 info /kernel: sd1(ncr0:1:0): Direct-Access Jan 19 03:29:43 info /kernel: sd1(ncr0:1:0): FAST SCSI-2 100ns (10 Mb/sec) offset 8. Jan 19 03:29:43 info /kernel: 1003MB (2054864 512 byte sectors) And second, is there a cut and paste util like gpm for linux for FreeBSD? (This uses the mouse to select copy and paste between VT's) I miss this somewhat... I would just use X, but have a video card that is to good for it <grin>(Matrox Millinuam<sp>) And with the demo was getting some wierd stuff happening to my montior, so I don't want to pay $100 for something that might not work.. While I am on this, what is a good PCI video card for X that is supported for a 15in monitor. 2mb VRAM is what I am guessing, and how much ? Thanks!
