Get the January 8th (or the following week) copy of Infoworld and find the comparison of five or six 133MHz Pentium systems. All but one had about the same performance. The fast one were Tritons and the slow one was based on SIS. The chipset is probably not the sole cause of lower performance, but it is critical to good performance. mike
