The hardware is of the type accepted, and I don't think I have configured it wrong. When the server starts, it looks alright: the screen shows clearly and the cursor moves along with the mouse. After the starting screen, the clock and the mail icon appear, and then two windows that remain completely blank and the cursor freezes. I have tried many experiments. For example, if I comment in the starting file the two default xterms, then the cursor does not freeze, I'm able to change "rooms" given by the virtual manager, but as soon I click the background the cursor freezes and I have to reboot the machine. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? What's the fix? Feel free to reply on the Net, or to me at rmay@cati.csufresno.edu. Many thanks in advance. -Robert May
