I understand the skepticism and the licensing fees for X/Open compliance are apparently a little steep. This will undoubtedly make X/Open an enemy in the FreeBSD and Linux crowds. Yet, the MVS thing is quite a feat; the UNIX95 test suite is very extensive and it is not just API level compliancy.
