Hi,
This is really strange. I thought I have finished installation,
because everything was so fine, and I even played some games under the xwindow.
But after I logout, and reboot, things change. There are some messages and I
can't go into FreeBSD again. I think there might be a way to fix it without
installing it all over again.(please help me!)
Now, after I reboot(either return, -s,or -c),it has the following message:
swapon: /dev/wd1s1b: No such file or directory
skipping disk checks
/dev/wd1s1f on /usr: No such file or directory
/dev/wd1s1e on /var: No such file or directory
Filesystem mount failed, startup aborted
Enter pathname of shell or RETURN for sh:
(then, I press RETURN)
Please refer to /etc/csh.cshrc for enviornment setup
erase ^H, kill ^U, intr ^C
type fsck -y to check disk if you need to do it
#
#
..
..
Now, I can use ls, but can't use more, and when I "fsck -y",
it has more message, but finally, I still need to reboot, and got the same
result over and over again.
If I keyin "mount -a", it will say:
/dev/wd1s1f on /usr No such file or directory
/dev/wd1s1e on /var No such file or directory
Then, I don't know what to do next. Could someone tell me what happen?
I really don't want to install it agian, I have done it many times, and it
takes so much time especially when I install almost all the packages. Thanks.
I-Lin
