I just joined this news group.
I've just recently installed free BSD.
This is probably a goober question but...

I can't exicute any of the programs I've compiler from the ports
directory on the CDROM. I did let it map the cdrom to /usr/ports and
I have mounted the /dev/scd0a and can see the drive just fine. I can
even compile the ports I'm looking for just fine. Like JOVE for
instance. However once I compile the damn thing it wont exicute.
I'm logged in as root, and the file has execute permissions set, but
they don't run. ARG! I should also mention that if I compile them from
the install menu they work. I shouldn't have to do this though. Also
If I try to run sysinstall from /stand is doesn't execute either.

ARGGHHH!!!! help.
