My target is a HP 1000S (C3724) on SCSI ID 0, which I select. At this point the script enters the partition editor, no partitions are found, so there is nothing to do. I've been through this several times editing the kernel devices with the -c option at boot but the kernel seems to be making some assumption about this card that's not valid for my system. Please forgive my linux devs. I'm rather a BSD newbie. I can't quote from memory and the system is miles away. Two questions (I promise). 1. How do I save the boot messages to a file? I can't get a dmesg or a syslog since I don't have anything mounted but the boot floppy. It scrolls by too fast to read more than every fifth line. Can I break out of the install script? What about a manual install? 2. The 1542 is not standard at IRQ 11 but the SB-16 wanted IRQ 9.In "visual" it looks like the 1542 driver is hardwired at IRQ9 but the readme says it's dynamically allocated and "visual won't let me move it (I did move the 152X to IRQ 9). Is this a prob? Sorry if this has been hashed over recently. The FreeBSD thing came on rather suddenly so I don't have much history in this group. Thanks, Charles
