Hi FreeBSDers,

I remember some time ago there was a discussion about getting the Linux X
version of DOOM running under FreeBSD. I have intsalled the Linux emulator
and it seems to run the executable OK but the game doesn't work properly.

I start it running and the title screen comes up. If I do nothing, I get a
message in the xterm where I started it saying:
Error: Demo is from a different game version!
This is using the shareware doom1.wad. I do not have sndserver running (as I
don't have a sound card). The command line is "linuxxdoom -3" to expand the
size by a factor of three as documented in README.linuxx.

If, instead of just doing nothing when it starts, I hit enter and start
selecting from menus, I get to the "Choose skill level" menu and then it
aborts with the message:
	Error: W_GetNumForName: STTMINUS not found!

Does anybody have this working? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any help,
	Graham
