No, not really. I've seen some, but you loose traffic, and you can't

No personal experience, but the handbook states:
o Future Domain 8xx/950 series SCSI controllers.
The seagate scsi driver (which is also used for these FD cards) states:
* (Free/Net/386)BSD ST01/02, Future Domain TMC-885, TMC-950 SCSI driver
* Added code to handle Future Domain 840, 841, 880 and 881
