I believe there is a NetBSD add-on package which allows Mac partitions to be mounted (read-only if I remember) onto the NetBSD filesystem. As for cpin/cpout in the minishell, I am disappointed with them; the interface is awful. I am curious why the "install" and "zinstall" commands use the normal MacOS 'select file' interface (a good idea, IMHO) to select the Mac-side filename, whereas cpin and cpout ask the user to type the Mac filename on a command line. It would also have been nice if the installer had been shipped with the memory usage set up correctly. Although it is not hard to correct this problem, it is very hard to diagnose if you don't exepect it. Personally, I like the Mac NetBSD; it's great to be able to run a full version of Unix (lovely OS) on the Mac (beautiful hardware). However, the Mac-side utilities for NetBSD (installer, mkfs, booter) leave something to be desired. Perhaps they will be better in the next release version. Jamie
