I've been integrating a 2 GB Seacrate Hawk a couple of days ago. I've only created a temporary file from disklabel /dev/rsd2c, edited it (it claimed 4 partitions, while i was eager to get 8, plus i had to fiddle the rpm and interleave values), and wrote it back to the disk with disklabel -r -R sd2. After this, i've been running dikslabel -e sd2 to perform the actual partitioning. I thing about how to put all this together into disklabel(8) itself, so you could just say ``disklabel -r sd2 auto'' in order to label a new disk. -- cheers, J"org joerg_wunsch@uriah.heep.sax.de -- http://www.sax.de/~joerg/ -- NIC: JW11-RIPE Never trust an operating system you don't have sources for. ;-)
