Date: 21 Jan 1996 02:02:29 -0600 Organization: MCSNet Services Lines: 13 Message-ID: <4dsrul$p61@Mercury.mcs.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: mercury.mcs.com I picked up a VAXstation II GPX at a recent HAMfest. When I first booted it I was prompted with a request for a USERNAME and then a PASSWORD, it was under MicroVMS 4.4. After a couple of nights of fiddling around with the system it doesn't boot anymore. After typing either B/1 or just B at the >>> prompt the system just hangs. Is there any way of salvaging MicroVMS? I would like to get a copy of NetBSD on tape so if I can't fix the current problem I'd at least be able to use the system. Can anyone send me a set of tapes? Any help would be greatly appreciated, -Jon Welch jonwelch@mcs.com
