Date: 22 Jan 1996 14:57:24 -0800 Organization: Computer Science Undergraduate Association, UC Berkeley Lines: 15 Message-ID: <4e14ok$bhh@soda.CSUA.Berkeley.EDU> NNTP-Posting-Host: soda.csua.berkeley.edu Are there any known incompatibilities between FreeBSD 2.1.0 and any NexGen processors? I tried running on a NexGen P90 (not sure what motherboard brand, but it starts with an 'a' and isn't Asus), and soon I had tcsh core dump. xdm, XF86_VGA, and login dumped core as well. I tried making a new kernel, but config cored. So did make. Incidentally, FreeBSD recognizes NexGen chips as 386-class. (Very fast 386 class, though.) -Geordan -- + Geordan Rosario -------------- + | geordan@csua.berkeley.edu | The opinions expressed here are mine and may | geordan@ocf.berkeley.edu | be purchased for $10 each. + - geordan@po.eecs.berkeley.edu +
