Date: 29 Jan 1996 15:58:30 GMT Organization: RSMAS/University of Miami Lines: 24 Message-ID: <4eiqr6$vp@mitzi.rsmas.miami.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: nauplius.rsmas.miami.edu X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] I'm trying to include my news reader (tin) in the tool bar in fvwm, but when I click on the tool bar button for the news the window frame is formed but it disapears when I place it on the desktop. The line in my .fvwmrc is: *GoodStuff News news.xpm Exec "News" xterm -g 95x40 -T News +sb -e /usr/local/bin/tin -r & It works with anything that is in /usr/local/bin but not with tin. The command itself, "xterm -g 95x40 -T News +sb -e /usr/local/bin/tin -r &" works fine, which indicates that it's something with GoodStuff, but as I said, GoodStuff works with everything else (elm, emacs, etc...), which indicates it's a probelm with tin. I tried to redirect the stderr to a file but the file came out empty. I'm really puzzled about this. Does anyone have any suggestions? -- /| O __/ |_ | Ivan Lima o /o \_/| | Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science ( < _ | | Division of Marine Biology and Fisheries \__ _/ \| | ivan@nauplius.rsmas.miami.edu \_| | http://nauplius.rsmas.miami.edu/homepage/home.html
