I've just installed FreeBSD from the Nov '95 CD from infomagic. I
believe it's release 2.1.0. For some reason elm would not install as a
package from the original install program (/stand/sysinstall). So I
just unpacked the elm archive and ran Configure. I answered all of the
questions to the best of my limited knowledge. Then I did a make, make
install. Well it compiled ok and installed, but every time I tried to
use elm I got something like:

Trying to read mailbox while receiving mail #x where x is a number of
tries.

Then it bombs and says, please try again later. I've tried many times
to read the mail later, all with the same results. I'm using sendmail
and pine works so I don't think sendmail is the problem. I'd really
prefer to use elm. (I don't like pine) Can someone please point me to
what question(s) I answered wrong in the Configure? I've tried many
different things and I'm still stumped.

Here's my system's info:

P90 32M RAM 600M for FreeBSD
Sendmail is my MTA.
I'd like to have MIME support built into elm.
I'm running bash as my shell.

Thanks in advance.
