I am running BSDI 2.0.1 with all of the latest and greatest patches.
I have setup qualcomms popper 2.1.4r3 and it seems to be working in
general. However, many users are experiencing server timeouts.

Here is the message from the log file.

mailhub popper[26126]: someuser@ts2-023.jaxnet.com: -ERR POP timeout

The client software indicates a server timeout.

Anybody else seen this? Any known fixes?

Our users are logged in via PPP from Livingston portmasters. Most of them
are running either Win95 dialer or Trumpet winsock... the problem seems to
be for both types of users. Most users are retreiving their email with
Eudora.

P.S. we seem to be having a similar problem with the news server...
I mean server timeouts. The systems have lots of RAM and they are both
pentium machines.
