hello out there,

I've a problem: 

I've three serial ports in my computer, which i would like to use under bsd.

A frind told my that i should compile the kernel, after changing the 
GENERICISA .....

I changed .... and made config GE....
                        cd /sys/compile/....
                        make depend
                        make

he (the computer) did his compiling work and then he said:
loding 386bsd
init_main.o undefined symbole _version reference from text segment
*error code 1

stop.
.....

could anybody help me :-) ??????
