Nick: you're a maniac! : > : >I highly recommend version 2 of fvwm. (Not the 1.X version in ports.) : OpenLook is an *attrative* window manager, but lacks a lot of : function. I'm using fvwm 1.X. It's got the following features I : consider essential: : * Virtual desktop. : * Panner box with ability to adjust window positions by their : outlines. : * Ability to move desktop view by merely pushing cursor to the edges : of the screen. I don't know if olvwm is available under BSD, but if it is then it offers the virtual desktop. In fact, you can rescale the desktop during the X session. You can also move a window into the panner and it will move the window to that virtual desk. You can also grab a tiny outline of an app in the panner and drag it to your current desktop. Of course, I use fvwm - just thought I'd give Open Look some credit. -- ~Oly oly@head-cfa.harvard.edu
