I've succesfully been able to get Xwindows (X11R6) to work in color on my
386sx (albeit slowly). I thought if I switched to 1bit mode that it
would work faster. In doing so, it never properly initializes the screen
and the screen never writes correctly (random spots, windows not properly
sized, windows beginning on the right side of the screen and finishing
onthe left side of the screen, etc.).

Is there any way to work around this?
