Of course, unless you actually want to _boot_ from the third (etc.)
IMHO, you should (if possible) split your OS's over several HDDs
(unless some of them have abysmal performance), and if you do, you
should arrange for all boot/root partitions/slices/whatever to be on
the first two.

IMHO, it can't work, because FreeBSD needs the BIOS to boot, and the
BIOS cannot see the third (etc.) disk at all.
