After reading swapon(8), i have to say the man-page's a bit unprecise about
that point, but i also think you don't really need the 'swapon -a' if you
use only one (default) swapping partition. It seems to me the swapon is
mainly in there for people who want to have more than one swap or swap on
another disk then root. After all, 'swapon -a' doesn't seem to hurt. :)
