Since the national keyboard question occurs quite often:
I wrote a pccons replacement package entitled 'keycap-0.1.0.tar.Z' which
allows mapping any national keyboard layout to the console. This package
will very likely become standard in the next 386bsd release. This package
is currently not compatible with X11 (not even with the kernel patches for
X386), but there is a new (restricted) beta release 0.1.1 which fully supports
(the coming version of) XFree86-1.2. If you are interested in the betakit,
send me mail. Otherwise the 0.1.0 version is at
ftp.uni-duisburg.de in /pub/unix/386bsd-0.1/unofficial/keycap-0.1.0.tar.Z.
