From the configuration menu?  Really?  In any case, you're probably
better off just adding the interfaces to /etc/sysconfig anyway since
that's all that sysinstall does.  Edit /etc/sysconfig and take a look at
the examples.

Do you have /usr/X11R6/bin in your path?

That's SYSV.  Just use `shutdown', `reboot' or `halt', depending on what
you want to do.

http://www.freebsd.org probably contains as much info as you're going to
find anywhere, these days.
