I just got Xfree86 installed and it seems to work well. There are some x based programs I am having problems getting to run. These being: xfig3.1.3 (2.1.? works), mtools (I was told to use this to get access to the fd), spice 3ef. Other non x based programs include: ispell4.0, perl 5.? . Anyway, if anyone has had any success with these please drop me a line. I can go on and on about the problems, what I have done, etc. but that gets quite lengthy here so to preserve bw, if you can and want to help me, great, I appreciate it. Let's correspond via email and I will post the results of what I found to work and what I did. Also will send anyone the source and/or binaries if they want them (once they work). Thanks. All help is appreciated. This might help me a lot on some of these: is FreeBSD BSD compatable as far as defining an OS in the config/imake/make files? I assume it is, but if I am wrong, then this may be a problem. It was with kermit5a-190, but not with xv3.10a. (I have these working great). -Kip Mussatt elrich@ksu.ksu.edu
