Unless, of course, you've had a license long enough to be grandfathered into much cheaper pricing. :-) I use both FreeBSD and BSDI here. They both have their good/bad points. If you need a lot of support, or you need to run commercial programs that are only distributed in binary form, you'll probably like BSDI a bit more.
