Do a massive restore with lots of small files, then hit the reset button
while in the process of restoring the files. Do that a few times...
By no means this is very scientific and you probably will never be able
to reproduce the exact the same condition however it is a *valid* case to
guard against.

Oh, I ran into the above scenario in my home box with faulty power.
For a period of a week, my FreeBSD file systems survived the ordeal.

System crashes is another reason, specially when you are working on a
device driver.
