Craig, I added the if_vx.c and if_vx.h files into /sys/pci and added device vx0 to my config file. On a stock 2.1.0-R machine, it compiled without errors. I have not been able to test it with my 3C590 yet though, so I can't say whether the driver actually works for me or not.
