Date: 4 Feb 1996 03:21:45 GMT Organization: Hope College Lines: 16 Message-ID: <4f18o9$1g1@news.cs.hope.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: atlantis.cs.hope.edu X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Xref: euryale.cc.adfa.oz.au comp.unix.bsd.freebsd.misc:13636 comp.sys.laptops:54662 I run FreeBSD on my desktop and Linux on my laptop, due to a number of problems which I had when I attempted to install FreeBSD last on the Aero. I prefer FreeBSD for aesthetic reasons, so it might be time for a switch. I'm wondering if the situation has changed (PCMCIA support beyond alpha stage, etc.). Has anyone had any luck setting up and running FreeBSD while retaining the use of things like APM and PCMCIA? An Aero success story would be wonderful, but I'll be encouraged enough to try if anyone has succeeded with any similar laptop.
